Anthony E. Postma

Anthony (Tony) Postma is a Southern California–based concept artist, storyboard artist, and illustrator with 35+ years of experience across animation and video games. He’s a graduate of ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, where he studied Transportation Design with a minor in Entertainment Design—eventually following that pull into the entertainment industry.

Tony spent over 17 years storyboarding and designing  on Comedy Central’s South Park, contributing to the five-time Emmy Award–winning series and its many game titles, including The Stick of Truth and Let’s Go Tower Defense Play. Before that, he built his career in the video game world at Interplay Entertainment and Mindcraft Software, working on projects like Fallout, M.A.X. 1 & 2, and The Magic Candle.

He’s a “many hats” kind of artist—comfortable jumping between environments, UI, vehicles, characters, and whatever else a project needs. His work also includes vehicle design for the film Phantoms (based on the Dean Koontz novel), along with uncredited contributions to live-action TV and film.

These days, he’s a Background Designer on American Dad! at Fox Animation (Disney), working digitally in Photoshop while still keeping a hand in traditional media.

When he’s not drawing, he enjoys motorsports, shooting photos, traveling, or hunting down a great meal.
